Quick question guys,
I had a T5 and was able to lockout the Em heat above 25 degrees in the settings.
This way I was using the heatpump and saving on electricity.
I bought a T9 and this option is not available on this unit.
The T10 which is the PRO series can do the EM heat lockout though like my T5 did.
However, I do have the capability to just zero the backup heat on my T9, despite having a 10kw heater coil.
Basically telling the thermostat that I don't have EM? this is what common sense tells me, but not sure 100%
If I do this will the 10kw heater be completely locked out at all times and will I just use the heat pump even on 35 degrees and below nights?
Do you guys know at what what outside temp the T9 turns on the EM heat if I just leave on.
Lastly, Should I buy the T10 instead as a home owner just for this feature or just keep the t9.
I live in TN and we do get quite a few nights that get to the 25s and several on 35 degrees.
Anyways, I'd appreciate your input on this. Thanks
by the way, I like the T9 and t10 because they come with the extra sensor. The T5 did not have this feature.
