I have a strange issue with my heating (central heat and ac) system. When i turn the heat up, the heater takes couple of minutes to start and blow the air. But nowadays it does not start most of the time. If I turn the heater off completely and turn on again after waiting for a minute or two it works. Sometimes I may have to repeat the process couple of times until it works normally. My thermostat says "Heat is On" but the unit is never started. Also some nights it never starts again automatically when the temperature drops below the set thermostat temperature.
I started having this issue in late summer (around sep) with a/c too. Same process, i turn on and off couple times and it starts to work.
Do you think the issue is thermostat itself or I have bigger issue here?
