Short version(long version available if requested):
I bought a house with central heating that may have been in the process of installation when the house was sold. The system consists of a furnace and heat pump. The furnace, installed in the basement, is Carrier brand, and the model number is listed as 40AQ030340GM, serial number Q1A20032. I have no documentation for it. In fact, all that I know about it is what is written on the information card on the unit itself, and the fact that it seems to supply hot air when the thermostat is set. My attempts to search for information on this model have turned up almost nothing, so I am hoping that someone here may know something about it. Anything would be helpful, but it would be great if a link to some documentation (owner's manual?) could be found. Quite frankly, just looking at the thing, I can't even tell where I'm supposed to find the filter to change it.
Based on what I can learn about it, I will decide whether to keep the existing installation or explore options to have it replaced.
Thank you.
