Residential Roof Mounted AC in Minnesota (possibly the only one?)

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for some help. I have a residential roof mounted AC unit on my house in MN. The house has a boiler so this system is ducted through the attic to the top floor, then cold air flows down.
I bought the house a year ago and can't find anyone who will service this unit professionally!

I ended up cleaning the evaporator and condensor myself, no big deal. Last winter we got a noticable cold draft because I didn't know how to winterize the unit.
So a few weeks ago when it got cold, I took the 20x20 intake filter out and plugged it with a 1" piece of insulating foam.
We're still getting cold drafts so I assumed I could go back up and plug the output side in the unit (that leads to the interior ducting). I couldn't because there was the blower fan in the way. But when I opened the unit up, I noticed a lot of condensation inside the unit.
My assumption is that household humidity is flowing up through the vents into the unit and condensating.

I covered it with a tarp and plan to cover all of the vents in the house but feel this is either wrong, or will compound the problem.

I can't find a service manual anywhere nor a professional to help me.
Can anyone tell me if what I am doing is good or bad? Or recommend someone in the Twin Cities to help me?
