I have a Lennox G61MPV heat pump with propane furnace backup. I have an issue, and I'm wondering if this is a standard issue that a heat pump contractor will know very quickly, or if I should be expecting some serious diagnostics.
Thermostat - Fan Off
Furnace calls for cooling and heating normally, the fan runs when its supposed to, and everything shuts off when its supposed to.
Thermostat - Fan On
Furnace calls for cooling and heating normally, but it never shuts off. Both the fan and the heating or cooling will continue indefinitely until the fan button is shut off. The thermostat stops calling for cooling or heating when its supposed to, and there is no longer 24V on Y1 (compressor). However, the compressor keeps running.
