Folks - have the pros in this directory validated at all to have people on staff who've done Manual-J, D, etc and have experience with it (not just a weekend course) or are any contractors allowed to put in their names without any interviews, etc

Also, to right size an HVAC system, can you do so before the air sealing & insulation or better to do it after? The problem I have is if I air seal and then insulate the attic before doing the load calculation, I'll have to repeat all that insulation once the old equipment is ripped off and new one put in
Also I'm in NYC if anybody has any personal references or you are close enough to do this yourself. I'll pay for mileage, etc
