Honeywell T5 Short Cycling Furnace

I just got a Honeywell T5 WiFi thermostat installed by a tech working for my energy provider three months ago. Ever since I've started needing heat because of the cold, I've noticed that the furnace is short cycling. It would come on for 30-60 seconds then it would shut off. When it shuts off, the "Heat On" indicator on the thermostat is blinking. After a reset period of about 5 minutes, it would call for heat and the furnace would come on again for 30-60 seconds then it shuts off and so repeats the cycle. The temperature never truly reaches the desired set temperature.

I truly believe it is the Honeywell T5 that is doing this as I've done the following troubleshooting that leads me to say so:

1) I've replaced the furnace filter and this same behavior still exists.
2) I've reinstalled my old thermostat (Honeywell RTH2300) and the furnace works just fine. There is no short cycling. Furnace stays on until temperature reaches desired set temperature.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks
