I have the above Heil Furnace and I replaced the ignitor recently. I am just wondering if what I am seeing is correct. It seems that the pilot stays lit while the furnace is heating. The flame sensor and the "forks" on either side of the flame sensor glow red. That doesn't seem correct to me. I would think that the pilot would shut off after the furnace ignites? Anyone tell me if this is correct or not.
