I have a Goodman furnace/AC unit that went out a few days ago. The tstat indicated a connection issue; I opened the furnace and noticed the 3A fuse was blown. So far, I've used a multimeter to test the 24V transformer, AC unit capacitor and conductor; they are all good. When I opened the AC unit, it looked like the fan motor wires were pinched and created a possible short; it looks like electrical tape or conduit had melted. (pic attached). I noticed the orange wire had a nick, which was also repaired and still the fuse keeps blowing.
I'm running out of things to troubleshoot, so any ideas would be great. Thanks!
