Hi! This is my first message. My air conditioner is being replaced. It is a 4 ton Trane Air Conditioner with Heat Pump. The technician said the vent under the air conditioner closet is too small and wants to replace it with a bigger vent. The model numbers in the quote are 4TWR6048H1000A for the Heat Pump and TEM6A0D48H41SB for the Air Conditioner. Someone recommended that I check to make sure replacing the vent is really needed before I approve the quote. The existing vent is 20 inches by 16 inches. Is this too small? What should the new vent size be?
