LG LMU480HV + Distribution Box = Loud Noise

Hi Pros,

This noise has stumped 3 different techs. I've listened to their calls to LG Technical Support and realize there is no support...
but here goes:
4ton LG condenser is piped to distribution box pushing two indoor heads.
When both indoor units come on for full cooling, a loud whistling noise (seems to) come from large-filter-dryer-looking piece of pipe assembly and whistles through lineset to distribution box. No noise for only one unit running, no noise in heating mode. System cools and heats just fine.

The last tech here was a good guy, but admitted he does not know what that suspect part does or how it works mechanically (and hence why it might create the noise?), but LG support line says sure, of course, replace that part.

Have you seen this before with LG MultiV?
Any idea what that largeish piped cylinder mounted up above compressor does or if/why it would make shrill noise under heavy load?
I've heard in general hvac, this noise can happen from having too short or straight of a lineset run. Could the shortish lineset run to distribution box (10-12ft) be the actual issue?
Could a faulty valve in distribution box really be imposing excess pressure-> noise from condenser?
Could it really be a compressor issue just squealing up through all the pipes?

As you know, replacement parts for LGs and all the delicate repair brazing work can easily cost more than just buying a new outdoor unit.

What would you do? Not feeling good on this one as I've observed the techs having no confidence in a fix.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
