I asked a tech for replacement suggestions for 19 year-old equipment at my 1256 sq ft home in Houston. He recommends this: Trane 3 ton, 14 SEER. Model numbers are: OUTDOOR: 4TTR6036 J1000A Trane XR16. FURNACE: S8X1 80% H/E gas furnace S8X1B080M4 PSA. COIL: 4TXCB004DS3HCA. My question is, Are these all Trane parts, and are they well matched to work well together?? I keep the temp at 76/75. He says the 20 year old ductwork needs to be replaced, but I cannot afford that now, and he said that could be done later. Thanks, from a mechanically challenged female!
