Hello!
I became the hero of my family this July after installing a new AC/Heat Pump this summer. We have had no issues with the keeping our home cool. Now that it is getting colder I went to turn on the heat on and we get cold air. I have researched potential causes and I understand that heat pump air may feel cooler than a gas furnace.
The fan comes on when set to heat at the thermostat.
I followed my thermostat wire and I did not have the Orange wire connected at the AC unit. I looked for a orange wire to tie into on the unit and I did not see one! The closest orange wire was coming from the 24v transformer. I tried adding wire to that so that I can reach the thermostat wire but still no heat.
We don't have auxillory heat strip on this unit yet. I watched every video for installing these and everyone seemed to have a orange wire to connect to.
What am I missing?
