Hi all, Please help help.... (-: Ok here is the ussue. I have a model no FP 147 oil furnice booiler replaced about 15-18 years ago. A few years ago I disconnected the hot water pipe for sinks baths etc, and replaced with a electric water heater. But the problem I am having is the expantion tank is filling up in 3-4 weeks and obvioulsly needs to be drained. When this happens, the heater will cycle every 5 minutes until I manulally drain the tank. Then seems to go back to normal heating cycle operation. The tank seems to be in good condition on the outside with no signs of leaks or rust holes. Why is the tank filling up so fast with water causing a hydraulic lock and allowing the over pressure to release water on the floor. Thank you all for your advice.
