My young son had the clever idea to insert the garden hose into the furnace exhaust pipe. There was very large puddle around the sides and front of the furnace. I have turned the furnace off, I've removed the panels, and I have a fan blowing directly on the furnace to dry it out. What else should I do? Can I let it dry out for a few weeks before turning on again? Is this a safety hazard?
