Air flow control for basement cold storage

We have HRV in the basement. I would like to build a room around the HRV with a space for cold (40-50F) storage. Since many days and nights are cold, besides the AC refrigeration in the summer for all other seasons I would like to direct some of unconditioned HRV supply from outside through the storage room first with thermostatically controlled damper(s) when the cooling is needed. Would be putting 2 holes in the fresh air supply duct (----------) with the damper (/) in between as schematically shown below be sufficient or does it need multiple (3?) dampers? The outside exhaust duct is not shown.
